AGM and CYMA factories raided, dismantled

Im posting this here since I cant post in the airsoft news section. I can tell you guys I know this to be true!


From ASCUK:

“It seems the latest crackdown on airsoft manufacturers has possibly closed the door on the clones. The only info availible at the moment is that the boss of A&K has been imprisioned and may face the death penalty, Cyma/Boyi and DE are being watched, AGM have shut down indefinatly and JG never restarted after the last crackdown.”

and:

“We have heard, whilst in China, that the head of AGM has been sentenced to 10 years (15 according to a different source) for being in possession of 30,00 replica firearms. Supposedly the heads/owners of other factories are in hiding.

What we know for sure is that all the factories are shut and that no-one can give us a restart date. Don’t expect anything from AGM for a very long time, the others? We simply don’t know.

As ever, the rumour mill will go into overdrive, but in a year where the ACM factories have been raided several times, this would appear to be the the most concerted & draconian action take to date.”

Thought I’d best keep y’all informed. there is a thread on ASCUK and no doubt other Forums too, I guess as Frenchie says we’ll have to wait and see what the full impact will be.

Oh man that's terrible , man i hope all the companies can get back on their feet and hopefully start making airsoft guns again. Please for all the people with airsoft gund please be responsible with airsoft guns, like keep the tips orange, and don't take them out to public . Cops can put laws against airsoft guns so be careful . And help airsoft grow and give it a good rep.

This has happened before and companies were still producing guns afterwards. The most we can do is not flip our "stuff" about this and let is pass. Any press on this issue will draw more attention to it and any attention is bad attention.

I hate to rag on your thread but these are bad ideas. People see one of these and the freak out. They tell a friend a slightly altered story who tells another friends a slightly altered story, so on an so forth. Like rumors in Middle/high school.

Im pretty sure that the companies have never been hit so hard as they are being hit now. Full closure of a factory is a pretty big deal, thats ALOT of money lost. As for the death penalty, dang, thats harsh dont you think?

Yeah this is a total different level it seems like, I wouldnt expect any thing to come outta China for a little while now.

Last time there was a hit this large the 3-4 companies were never heard of again! This isn't just a little set back. This sucks! Yeah death is crazy! The reason for death was because they were apparently making real steel weapons right along with the Airsoft on the same assembly line!

Sort of like using the airsoft guns as a cover for actual firearms manufacture? That would make shipping the firearms out of the country alot easier, no doubt. Clever, but obviously prone to failure

EDIT: reading the two post above, I still think it is going way to far to issue death penalty to a alleged weapons smuggler.

Well there in China so there laws are VERY different than ours.



And theres a guy on Arnies, Frontiers, thas has said that this has gotten over exagerated and it should be back to normal in a few months.


To bad, I want the good old days of no clones and all TM/ICS/G&P/ect...

Keep in mind that this is the same country that has executed people protesting the construction of a dam a few years ago. So yes, the death penalty is ridiculous, but China's "justice" system is a little, pardon the pun, trigger-happy (their mantra: when in doubt, death penalty). It's also rather hypocritical that they are accused, and most likely will be convicted, of making and smuggling illegal weapons, because Norinco has producing unlicensed copies of real steel weapons for decades.

We cannot lose these fantastic makes. Trust me, Echo 1 would be the only clone make left if we lose JG, AGM and the others, just keep in mind like Sean said to not take your guns out in public even with the orange tip. Don't take any chances, obey the laws and keep your guns safe and away from and area where its likely to get stolen.

Echo 1 doesn't make their guns.

I was stating that Echo 1 would be the only clone left if the others were to be shut down, learn to read

Yes, but Echo 1 doesn't make their own guns. They simply buy guns from CYMA, JG, etc and slap an Echo 1 sticker on them. If the clones get shut down, Echo 1 will have nobody but CAW to get guns from, which means that the entire E1 lineup would be cut down to the Minigun and M1014.

Well if all the companies that clone there guns from close how would they clone guns?

i think its more about over in China and them breaking the law over in China not here in the US which is with the orange tip thing. I dont think the death penalty is realistic unless the chinese are just hard asses because were talking about replica toys very far from life death

So if this is true then will the value of the A&K guns possibly go up?

I doubt it, clones are still clones, whether they are still made or not.
