I've been looking at camo lately and came across some Flectarn. It looks like it would work, but I dont have any experience with camouflage. Here are some pictures.

Re: Is Flectarn Effective?
flectarn is camouflage in German and marpat isn't cheap any where ive looked. i found this stuff made by the same company that apparently makes good stuff. and th pants were taken with a different camera, the shirt is the actual color and style.

Re: Is Flectarn Effective?
I have seen it work very well. Especially in the fall. I would buy it just for its uniqueness. A ton of people are using MC and american camo patterns for good reason but it's really not that cool to see them on the field any more, so it's nice to see some uniforms that aren't very common. Flecktarn works pretty well but it also comes down to how you use it. If you're running around a lot then camo is useless but if you're sitting still and you have learned about individual camoflauge techniques than just about all camo patterns will work pretty well.

Re: Is Flectarn Effective?
When looking at the colors, remember what area of the world made it. I think it would work pretty good in wooded areas. And, as mentioned above, it does have a kind of "cool" factor since it is not seen nearly as much as say.....ACU or MC.
On a side note...I have some Russian camo complete with patches/pins that I might sell. I don't think it fits me anymore. I traded some stuff with the Russians while I was in Bosnia.
