KWA G17 Deal

Newest addition to my arsenal.

Bought it locally via craigslist. The guy says he maybe put 200 bb's thru it and i believe him. Pistol is nearly flawless, and he thru in a large can of green gas, extra KWA mag and 5k bb's for 75 bucks!

Any tips on how to get rid of or cover up the ugly orange tip of the slide?









I felt like ti was a great deal especially since they were discontinued. Few questions though.

Is the OD rare because i havent seen many?

Im questioning if i should flip it on ebay or something and buy a KSC from airsplat. If it's a highly sought after collectible, i dont want to be skirmishing with it all the time, anybody know just how rare these are? I watched a KWA g18? ( I know it was KWA not sure of 17, 18 , 19) on ebay about a month ago with no box or any extras go for close to 200, just not sure since they dont make them anymore.

So you are the one who bought it. Good deal. I paid $100 for my KSC G26. Yes they are rare. But, you can order them from Red Wolf still (not sure about the KWA version though.)

Lol, yeah it was me. My intention was not to buy to flip it, but I'm just concerned that I would ruin something that should be on a shelf I guess. My understanding KWA had to discontinue there glocks because of trademark issues with being made in US, and KSC is a taiwan company so thats why they still make them, and also why KWA's are "rare"

All i know is I wanted a glock and got one on the cheap so im happy.

Probablly just going to keep it, Im usually meticulous and take really good care of my stuff anyway. besides it will be an interesting piece.

From what I hear, KWA is the American part of KSC. Don't quote me on that. The Glocks are definitely a drool factor. I've had people just wanting to hold mine. Congrats on the good deal. Take it out and play. That's what I do with mine, when it acts right.

well dont ruin the finish underneath, Try nail polish and cotton balls and just lightly dab it on the orange and try and prevent taking any of the black paint on the rest of the slide and under the orange paint as it will come off as well.

yes, forgot that little detail.

So i noticed to day that on the side of the box it says semi and full auto??? I havent seen a selector switch but did see an off brand glock that had a selector switch inside the slide? Is this a misprint or is there something im missing???

Interesting. I know that there is a G26 and a G26C. The C is both semi and full auto. I don't know the case on the G17s.

g17's are semi auto only. kwa and ksc use glock boxes for their glocks, (sometimes) not always having the gun and box model match up.

its just weird that the box says KWA G17 but the side says Semi and Full Auto. Thats some false adverstisemnet issues

i guess so, but kwa's are training weapons, so the functions on the pistol are the same as the real steel, g17 in real life is semi auto. g18 is full and semi. and i dont know about glock guns with -c at the end(probably military version like the g18).

G18c is just the full name and the C is just commonly left off at times.

G17= semi
G18c= full/semi

You can easily tell the difference between the two by the selector switch on the back left side of the slide.

I know for real steel the C stands for compensated. Im not familiar with the KSC glocks to know if a G18c models the Real Steel compensated Glock and a non C models a non compensated Glock......
