A little rough around the edges, and was told it was broken and didnt know what was wrong, but the mags work great.

I'm thinking this has something to do with the problem. I havent had a chance to even test fire it, but it definitely has not seen oil in quite some time.

The pin that runs across for the fire selector switch is crooked, if it's not clear.
    Project ----- KWA G18c Dsc01614

I think to get this piece out of the back of the slide I have uncovered a tiny allen head screw under the rear sights that lets a pin slide out and release the fire selector, thus releasing the piece in the back of the slide.

I dont have an allen wrench small enough to take it apart though.

Oh I am definetly addicted..... Too good deals! I'm a tinkerer. Doesn't matter what my hobbies are I constantly search for killer deals. I once bought an atv for 200 bucks and sold it the next week for 1400, seriously. I love fixing things and airsoft so this was the deal for me!

But have no fear XYZ, my arsenal is part of your team Wink

Before you take it out and shoot it or test fire it, make sure you properly silicone the main components of the gun when you have the slide off. Testing it is the best way to figure out whats wrong with the gun, and how to proceed with fixing the problem.

Ok, Im going to test fire it this a.m. and see what happens. I had it appart to see what it looked like and the thing is BONE DRY, it has had alot of rounds though it and either shot dry with propane or just hasnt been fired in a while, because there is not an ounce of lubricant within the slide.

will the g17 slide work with the lower from the g18? Just to make sure if it doesnt fire that the problem is in the slide and not the lower, which i doubt it would be.

so I test fired the thing, and it fired but whne it cycled it wouldnt cycle completely. I oiled the mess out of everything, and it slides much better but when it fires it shoots the bb and when it tries to go back to ready to fire position it doesnt collapse all the way and leaks the gas from the mag. pull the slide back and it looks like this.
    Project ----- KWA G18c Dsc01616

The air nozzle or whatever its called gets hung up about halfway. and it eventually doesnt reset the trigger inside the frame and i have to reach in with a tiny allen wrench and reset it myself

Might want to check those two springs as seen in above video as they are most likely the problem for the air nozzle not reseting.

WOW yeah that kid is crazy, but informative. So i'm trying to find an allen wrench small enough for the pin screw, but in the meantime i found 2 places that have the slide and barrell, shop.ehobbyasia.com and cobraairsoft.com

ehobbyasia, however, will not let me checkout, so i went with cobra airsoft last night and they shipped this a.m. saying i should see it in 3-5 days. thtas pretty quick from HK IF it happens. I plan on calling airsoft atlanta today because they have quite a few parts for it on their website, and get the springs and what not.

That is the exact problem I'm having with my G26c. Let me know if the springs fix it. And I love the signature.

    Thanks.

I'm going to research it a little more, but I'm thinking its something to do with the air nozzle. If the slide is off the nozzle will slide out and reset almost all the way without any problems, but with the slide on it seems to get in a bind somehow. maybe the piston inside the nozzle is wornout causing the nozzle itself to "wobble" and get out of line not allowing it to reset all the way???

I'm at a stand still now though because that one teeny allen screw that pretty much is the key to breaking the chamber down takes a hex-key that is either .028 or .035 and every store i have checked only goes down to .050 stupid specialty tools

I'm probably just going to take mine to Rhino Thursday. I'm at wits end. And I'm sure he has the right tool for it. And that little hex wrench is a booger to find.

I found this while researching today and this is the same exact problems i am having. slide only comes back halfway and leaks all the gas, and my hammer is much higher in the cocked postion than my g17.

and a g18c diagram for reference part 267 is in the lower right

The guys at AA are ok. A bit of a drive for me though. Airdog is like 10 minutes from me. I know Rhino can tell me what's up.

I don't know when I can make ACZ either. It's a bit of a drive for me too. I'm usually at either SW or Metropolis. If I get an answer before you, I'll let you know.

I would highly recommend you NOT bring your gun to AA, their techs are awful and know nothing about guns, if you bring it to the shop ryan will be able to get you squared away. Its worth it.

Theres only one guy there that knows a thing or two about gas guns, and thats John (I think thats his name) hes got gauges in his ears. Not sure if he works there anymore but he's your best bet if you went with AA, but you would have to do the work as far as repairing even if they diagnose the problem.
