I have found ATACS. Winning.

Walked into a pawn shop today, and here sat about 6 sets of ATACS staring me in the face. So of course I got a set. I had to buy Medium regulars and I wear small regulars so they are pretty big on me but I don't care. Still has the brand new uniform feel so it is pretty stiff and solid lol. It was fairly expensive though. 120 just for one blouse and pants, but such is life. Oh and the cargo pockets have buttons on them instead of Velcro, so that is really nice.

Sorry for the blurry pictures again. I have a smudge on my lens that i cant get off and its making everything blurry. I am going to get a darker color hat. I know a really nice ball cap I can get that's A darker brown that will go great with this pattern.

It was pretty funny when I bought it. No one knew what it was, and everyone was looking at me like "WTF does that kid have?!?"

Its just an ACU cut Propper uniform. Standard 65/35 blend. I must say I do like the pattern a lot. If you look at it closely it actually has a little bit of green in it, and this has a lot of potential.

if they had it in a greener pattern then i might get some.

Its been available to the public for a couple months now. Proper has been selling it on their website and Opticsplanet has some A-TACS MOLLE gear.

Yes, but a lot of places are not selling it in stores yet. This is the first time I have seen it in a store that it has been for sale. I saw one plate carrier before in ATACS but it was just for show.

A lot of people still don't know this pattern exists. Like I said, I was getting a lot of WTF IS THAT?! looks when I was buying. One guy even asked me because he said he had never seen it before haha.

^ Considering the army is adopting it for Afghanistan I dont see the price of it going down anytime soon.

I was referring to this. Everyone knows we are using MC in Afghanistan so the price of MC will not be going down soon.

Would A-TACS not be a better camo for that environment?

You could argue that it could be. Afghanistan has some fairly green areas though, so I think MC would work best.

I am anxious to field test this ATACs over Memorial day, see how good it is in a green environment.

Well either way ATACS looks better. But whichever keeps our boys hidden best.
