I finally found a new mag for my G17 and went to test fire it today. When it shot the hop up engaged all the way causing the BB to curve up at almost a right angle at about 20 feet. I adjusted it and it did the same thing, no matter how I adjusted the hop up it engaged all the way. I took it apart and inspected the hop up and it looked fine. No rips or tears. So how do you think I can fix this?

Something with the hop up assembly is not aligned correctly. Make sure everything is aligned right as something is turned causing it to shoot to the right everytime.

Re: KWA G17 Hop up problems
This morning I squirted some silicone oil down the barrel and used .25's instead of .20's. The result was a little better, after firing about 3 mags through it the first 5 bb's would go straight but the rest of the bb's would curve up at 40 feet.

Re: KWA G17 Hop up problems
Silicone down the barrel is a bad idea. First the oil in the barrel will transfer to the bbs as they contact it causing them to go all over the place. Secondly oil on the hop bucking will cause it to swell which in turn will give you the problems your having.

Re: KWA G17 Hop up problems
Is the swelling a temporary problem or something that's going to last a while/mess up the whole thing?

Re: KWA G17 Hop up problems
I washed the bucking and took it out to shoot. The first five shots were on target then the rest would curve up. I filled the mag up again and the same thing happened.
