Ditch the jeans man. Also, a better picture showing your equipment better may be in order?

Jeans are fine; better at some times, like when your legs are wet- they're quieter than regular combat trousers. Just wear some darker jeans to blend in better.

But a unit issue field jacket (MARPAT) + jeans for a contractor? Doesn't exist...

Typically contractors do not wear uniforms or camouflage. And they are 100% guaranteed to not be wearing MARPAT, atleast not in any authorized function. Maybe DCU on occasion or multicam, but thats about it. Almost always all civilian clothing, because they are civilians.

Yeah, Marpat is cool. Wolf, you should get some bottoms. Idk, I just really don't like jeans.

Re: Show your load-out
sorry im speaking for him(i had to call around to dig the stuff up) no where within a 70 mile radius had trousers. FP army navy had no marpat what so ever. bear paw....... of course never has it. hodges, really surprised me that they dont carry it. section 8 was a blessing only having 4 blouses in stock(1 of which he is wearing) and no trousers. pants always seem to be the hot item when it comes to this pattern. Do you know of any other army navy stores in the atlanta area i could go to? i have china pat and really want some legit MCCUU's, i have dessert but need woodland.

Shop online. It takes longer to get to your place but its always in stock somewhere and usually cheaper.

Indeed, you can find the right Kit online. Or just get some CB or OD bottoms. It will look 10 times better, you can still wear the pants in the civilian world, and you will blend in much better.

You can also try Stockbridge Army/Navy, HWY 42, Stockbridge, GA. If you know where the Walmart in Stockbridge is (HWY 42 & HWY 138) it is just north of that on the right hand side.

@ dagger boys.
I can respect the opinion of full camies. I was unable to get ahold of them as ridgeway said, so i went with jeans, instead of black pants that i normally run. I like the way the jeans look with it personally.
I'm short on cash for the time being, but i will buy pants when i find some.
Another reason i went with jeans, is to break up the marpat so i didnt look like an immination marine
Thanks for the Constructive critism

Re: Show your load-out
Here's what I look like when I'm at the gun line. Just a FLC and a camelbak. Got room for 6 mags, 2 canteen pouches on each side at the back, a flashbang pouch (more like admin pouch), and 2 grenade pouches and that huge pouch is the IFAK. The right side is pretty much empty to make room for when I sling my M4 down. Light enough to where I can still have gear and shoot fire missions. Still haven't given me a rhino mount coz I haven't had a reason to have one yet. I haven't set up my IOTV yet so no pictures of that.

Especially when they tell you to wear it over the IBA/IOTV... Idk why they just won't let me put the pouches on the actual IOTV.

Re: Show your load-out
It might have something to do with being in vehicles. Alot of people find it easier to get in/out of them with naked armor. I started with everything on my vest like in Iraq, but I switched to my Franken-chest rig due to some of the things we had to do that didn't require full kit. KLE's (Key Leader Engagements) for the most part. The locals and Afghani counterparts could be put-off by talking to us when we were in full kit.

Re: Show your load-out
Which makes sense coz when I drive a Humvee or our Paladin I'm just wearing either the FLC or the IOTV with nothing on the way. Gear is bulky enough especially in that Paladin's hatch that it's a pain to get out and move around. But when doing "infantry" stuff which we do a lot too, we look stupid having FLCs over our IOTVs while the actual infantry/cav scouts have their pouches on the actual IOTV. It just gets uncomfortable when you add your ruck in the equation.

Re: Show your load-out
We are allowed to attach the pouches to our IOTVS both here in the Stan and back in the states. Granted we are a light infantry unit that doesnt really use vehicles that much, if ever.
That being said, dump the FLC for an RRV and get some better pouches. Thats what i did.

I wish I could use my own gear. My unit's SOP wants us to strictly use what CIF gave us. We can't even use our own slings or change the optics on our M4s. Lots of hate going on around here.

Re: Show your load-out
As promised in my intro thread, kit picture time! The most I could find, sorting through my old pictures in my Flickr account.
Oldest, starting with my Marine Infantry kit. Only got the two major parts done, the LWH and Interceptor. Kinda' drifted off track with this one.
And Interceptor:
(Disclaimer, the Lance Corporal pin you see is from my MCJROTC, I was a Lance Corporal at the time, and it was mounted for the sake of the picture. NOT to be mistaken as a real Lance Corporal pin, as the Lamp of Learning takes the place of the Crossed Rifles.)
Then, my regular skirmishing kit for a while:
Decided to go a bit more lo-pro after that:
Game I went to with friends:
After, at one of their houses, with his tacti-cool AK w/ an AR mag conversion. Visually pleasing, but functionality wise, it makes sh*t-sense:
^Those two are horrible quality as they are cell pics that I tried to enlarge to the best of my ability.^
After, decided to go WAY more lo-pro and modded an SDS bandolier to act as a micro chest rig, it carried 5 rifle mags, one pistol mag, a speedloader, a death rag in the left internal pocket (Old mag pouches), an HFC M9 in the center internal pocket, and a small bag of BBs in the right internal pocket. Worked great, actually:
My most recent endeavor into the impressions world, my NSW Greenside kit (Bit older in the years, not like OMFGSUPARDELTACRYEEAGLEMULTIMOLLESERPACAM greenside):
And the artificial wear I did to the 1195J to make it a bit more true to life, as I can't exactly deploy overseas for months at a time, doing LRRP at the age of 15.
It involved spraypaint, mud, water, and a lot of kicking. It hurt me a lot more than it hurt the rig.
And the most recent pics, when I went to a newly opened CQB field in Orlando with some friends:
In the DCU, khakis, and Flyye CIRAS.
(I've kept this Santa patch ever since I received it at a Christmas game in Massachusetts, a little bit of home I always keep with myself. I miss my old home a LOT.)
So yeah, that's not all of it, there's still pictures of my old Eagle Active Shooter's chest rig (I have pictures somewhere...), and some other assorted gear I'm missing. :L
Also, this has all occurred between the ages of 13-15, when I first started collecting gear. Before then, I don't like to think on it. xD
My next kit plans are for something Marine Recon VBSS-esque (Flightsuit, MICH, CIRAS), only problem is I'll be using the Flyye Maritime CIRAS, which is inaccurate as it isn't part of the FSBE II kit. But I'll try to get away with it. ^_^
Thanks for looking!
PS: If anyone wants a kit-list for any of these, I'd be happy to oblige!
