You should be good for a good while. I've almost always run lipos with no problems. Eventually a MOSFET will help guard against your contacts being fried. But I wouldn't hesitate to run one on a stock KWA.

your trigger contacts becomes a spark plug. some can handle it, others can't. it's hard to say how long it will last. pulling the trigger slowly may cause more sparks than quick pulls.

I have both of those guns they are great. And about the lipo I have been using a 11.1 lipo in my SR7 for a long time now and still runs like a charm.

Kwa's are the best guns to run a lipo in(My opinion) Because they shoot soo smooth and sound cool

To run lipo on an Echo 1...your going to need a mosfet at a minimum. Your probably going to need new gears and bushings, and a better piston as well.

7.4v 20c 1800mAH should be fine. avoid 11.1v or 50amp LiPo's (C rating x mAH = amp, 20c x 1800mah = 36amps). higher amps turns your trigger contacts into a spark plug. if you don't adjust your AOE, expect your piston pickup tooth to fail. Tamiya's (battery connector) will usually melt down after awhile.
