Hi guys. New Field opening 2 weeks from now. Announcement:

    Greetings!

Military Simulations Atlanta, LLC has been created to provide the Atlanta area with Mil-Sim themed events, recreating small unit actions in an outdoor, woodland environment. Players act in Teams, participating in varied and challenging scenarios representing real-world small arms engagements. Military uniforms and equipment as well as Airsoft replica weapons are used during the scenarios, which are structured and controlled by on-field moderators known as "Admin" or "Field Marshalls" (or Refs). Strict Safety, particularly eye protection, is rigorously enforced.
More than "playing airsoft", Mil-Sim ATL provides blocks of instruction covering many aspects of soldiering and fieldcraft. Twice during the day, a block is offered on these tactics and techniques taught by actual Combat Arms soldiers and ex-soldiers. Topics such as Basic Fire and Maneuver, Camouflage and Concealment, Basic Land Navigation and Map reading, Survival and Evasion techniques, proper Grenade throwing techniques, Rifle and Pistol Marksmanship, Aircraft and Vehicle ID, Basic First Aid, and many others will be covered. Taught by Experts in the Military Way... the only way to get the information in this manner without enlisting. Instruction and demonstration is followed by live set-piece exercises.
After each learning exercise, larger objective-based scenarios lasting from 15 min to 1 hr each are played.
The first event is to be held on 26 Nov 11 at the privately owned field "the Rabbit Hole", on the NE side of The city near Mall of Georgia (1.4 miles from SS Airsoft). 16+ secluded, pristine acres are scaled perfectly for airsoft weapon ranges. Rolling, terraced pasture with realistic bunkers and trenches and ancient oak forests with many dug-in strongpoints create a natural, and beautiful setting for Mil-Sim gaming. The area also includes a Shooting Range with measured and marked targets, on-site Repairs and vending from Modern Warrior Tactical. The first day's classes are: Basic Fire and Movement and Camoflauge and Concealment techniques. To go along with our Shooting Range, our first Tactical Range will be operational as well for the fire and movement classes. Please see our Facebook Page: mil sim atl for more info and scheduling.
    Thank You!

First I want to thank everyone who came out. The field is still under major construction and will have alot more cover (tank, too) added this week.
The field's Wounded Warrior fund sits at $15.
The gameplay was fierce, with more than one Suicidal flag run (Rob, Ward, Mike), and a great Turkey Hunt in the woodland area. Turkey/Mike was the only Turkey that managed to elude the hunting teams for the full 30 min.
Our "live" props (howitzers, plane, grenades) didnt work as well as they looked, but we are working out the bugs. The air cannon play needs some tweaking, and the grenades...well, lets just say that everyone I saw throw one (and I use the term 'throw'loosely , LOL) could benefit from a block of instruction.
And the F-22 will be back (with a back-up) next time.
I can see that the back bunker area of the field will be the first to get cover additions, it looks like that area will see alot of fighting.
Port-o-pot will be in place as well.
Classes that were postponed are being rescheduled for Saturday.
Hope to see you this coming Saturday....3 December at 0900. Gamebriefing starts at 0930.

This is a great field, and I encourage everyone to come check it out. The props on the field are very well done and even with it half finished there were some great games played. The games include open field play with props including AT guns and rockte launchers that fire nerf "rockets" There really was something for every player saturday.

Doing a great job my friend.
