Zander linked that one, while they are about 30 dollars more than the helmet you linked, I think they are worth it.

ebairsoft also has helmets similar to these

    http://www.ebairsoft.com/jump-fast-helmet-p-5034.html

although the difference between that and the one from airsoftpark i dont know but looks like ASP one would be better, or they could be the same since they are both china clones

Well, are you planning on fast roping onto a building in it? Maybe having to deal with the residual concussion of an M67 frag? If not, it seems a lil pricey for an "airsoft" helmet, but then I'm always amazed that folks show up at an airsoft game wearing several hundreds of dollars worth of gear to protect them from a 350 fps plastic bb. So mayhaps I'm not the authority on this...

If you buy from weaponblender do yourself a favor and call to confirm the order a day or two later. I haven't had a problem with them but I have heard of people ordering something and having to call when it doesn't show up and received no confirmation to be told then that it's out of stock.

Well if I wear it to the grocery store I get weird looks.

I have yet to see someone show up with ballistic's protection at an airsoft event.

    IMO.
Playing airsoft causes one to be just as rough on their gear as a someone in real combat. I like to have quality stuff that's dependable and does t have to be replaced every 6 months. If your buying quality gear without ballistic protection then it's not absurd.

Not everyone is using their gear in actual combat. $75 dollars for a replica helmet, for a game, seems more reasonable than $600 for a replica helmet. Will the quality be lower? Duh, It's made in China. But there really isn't much need, dare I say that there is no need, for a $600, non-ballistic "tacticool" helmet in airoft. It's a nice helmet, but it's way overboard for most players.

He's a young E4 with the...(OPSEC)...Army. He lives in the barracks. He has no bills. He has disposable income. He also uses it, and will use it, for many other things. Airsoft is just one of the more awesome things he uses it for.

That's how I'm living now. High allowance and no bills or taxes. Of course, it's not enough to buy anything major, and it takes a few months to buy something that others could buy in a few weeks, but I am going to BCT this summer. Can't wait to start raking in the dough...

Taking the ASVABs in February, then going to the recruiter. I can't do jack till I'm 17. After training I go back to school to finish my Senior year, but I have to report to the local recruiter twice a month. I'm going to try to go Infantry, Calvary or Armor in the Army, but I don't go to AIT till after I get out of highschool.

Never heard of them doing it that way... Normally you take ASVAB, then you fill up more paperwork to prepare for MEPS then you go to MEPS, then if you're still in high school they won't ship you til you graduate because you need to be 18 and you need either that diploma or a GED (I even heard that they're going to ditch the GED and MUST be a high school graduate). Try to get Cavalry Scout (19D) if you want to be really Hooah and try your best to go Airborne with it. I know Twitch will kill me for saying that.

Anyway back on topic, I'm tempted to buy the Ops-core base jump helmet to when I start doing skydiving. You can use those helmets for any sport as well.

That's why I have to talk to the recruiter more. It's called delayed entry; or it was until they renamed it the future soldier program. I'm confused as well and have a few questions. I turn seventeen on the 1st of February and the ASVABs are on the 19th so I'll head down and ask a few questions before then. My parents give consent and are going to sign my papers. I'm also going to get letters of recommendation from my SAI and AI in JROTC. It's nice because I'll get my first paycheck after BCT and then get to go back home and I'll get paid when I help the recruiter but I still won't have any major expenses. Actually, I took the "What jobs you match your interests?" quiz and Calvary Scout was my best match. Hears the list it created, the ones I like are in red:

    • Cavalry Scout (19D)
    • Indirect Fire Infantryman (11C)
    • Infantryman (11B)
    • M1 Armor Crewman (19K)
    • AVENGER Crewmember (14S)
    • Cannon Crewmember (13B)
    • Bridge Crewmember (21C)
    • Special Forces Communications Sergeant (18E)
    • Special Forces Engineer Sergeant (18C)
    • Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D)
    • Special Forces Weapons Sergeant (18B)
    • Psychological Operations Specialist (37F)
    • Multiple Launch Rocket System Repairer (94P)
    • Field Artillery Meteorological Crewmember (13W)
    • Field Artillery Surveyor (13S)
    • Fire Support Specialist (13F)
    • Field Artillery Automated Tactical Data System Spec (13D)
    • Field Artillery Firefinder RADAR Operator (13R)
    • Multiple Launch Rocket System Operational Fire Dir (13P)

Those Airborne wings sure would be nice...

I will get back on topic as well... I like these helmets. A lot. But now that they're available & cheap-ish, everyone wants one, and is planning on getting one sometime. Their desirability is only boosted by their appearance in movies and video games. They'll be so friggin common, which to me, makes them boring. If I ever get to a modern loadout, I most likely will avoid getting a FAST helmet.

Well, it all depends on my ASVAB score.

    Right?

Only the cool kids will have real ones. And the super duper cool kids will have ballistics.
