The little green ballistic tips, and the disclaimer on the hornady website.Blackhawk 5 wrote:I noticed a promotion for those during haloween but I dont get it, whats the difference between those and normal ammo?

It depends on the caliber.

Almost $1 per bullet for .223
http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/AMM2461-1.html
More than double the price of normal ammo. I paid $6.95 for 20 rounds of remmington .223

If your a hunter like me your gonna pay close to 45 dollars for a box of 20 anyways. i have to have the best of bullets when im huntin. i cant use el cheapo. I think the easeist thing to compare this to is a quality hornady hunting round with a new package and a different color ballistic tip

Re: Zombie ammo FTW!
Hornady website says $24.53 for 20 rounds.
So just what kind of research or tests did they do to be able to label as "PROVEN?"
Seems like this is flagrant false advertisemnet on behalf of Hornady's pursuit for the almighty dollar.
Besides, after the apocolypse begins you just need enough ammo to get you to the closest gun store, because during the initial chaos everything you can carry is free.
Do your financial future a favor and invest that money.

Well it may not be a bad idea. I would'nt be surprised if Hornady was sued over these types of claims so those 20 round boxes could possibly double, or more, in value when theyre pulled from the shelves.
I mean if a woman can spill a fresh HOT cup of coffee, that she just purchased, in her lap, and sue McDonalds for the damages and win.....

yeah, if it doesn't kill zombies, get your money back. hornady makes quality ammo, this is a good collector's item. if they stop selling them, 20 years down the road, you can sell em for at least $100 per box, maybe more.

Re: Zombie ammo FTW!
This is the same as the critical defense ammo, but they are very smart to market it.$$$$$$$$$$$$
