I have a CYMA m14 and its trigger response is not great, I pull the trigger and after about half a second it shoots. I use it exclusively on semi so this is a big problem if anyone can help with some advice on how to fix this that would be awesome.

neodymium torque motor, cheap m130 main spring, short stroke sector gear (pickup side) - 2 to 3 (depending on FPS), mosfet, deans, 7.4v 35c 2200 mAH, or 11.1v 25c 1600mAH (semi-auto only), and SHS 14 teeth rack with required teeth removed. while you're at it, adjust AOE, clean, re-lube and re-shim. i would also upgrade to 16 awg wiring.

A lipo for a quick adjustment if you do not want to open your gearbox
