That's the problem poop ghost is not used to water.
You know those high speed low drag type don't do showers they just go through ponds and creeks when the smell gets to bad for them.

Re: Operation: Blackout September 8th, 2012
Guys, unless your guns are barely held together twitchy POS's with bad wiring, dodgy home soldering jobs, and old, abused lipos with cracked cases, water doesn't hurt them. At all. There are videos on Youtube of AEG's being submerged in a tank of water, then operating normally. Hell, I've played for a straight week (8 days) with AEG's that received 3+ inches of rain on the first two (it rained on us continuously for 48 hours at East Wind 5) and mud for the next two and no one there had any problems whatsoever, as well as playing through a Florida summertime squall at OP: Hammerfall (Camp Blandings) where it was raining so hard you couldn't see 50 feet in front of you. Poop is correct, it poured on all 335 of us at the first GA vs. SC event in March of 2011 and then as soon as the event started the sun came out and the event went on and was great!
At worst we'll get a 30 minute rain shower sometime during the day. Weather Channel currently says 40% of an afternoon shower for Bowman, GA on Saturday. http://www.weather.com/weather/weekend/Bowman+GA+30624:4:US

Re: Operation: Blackout September 8th, 2012
chance of PM rain has dropped down to 40%. this event is worth the gamble. like poop mentioned. the ga/sc game rained for the first hour and sunny the rest of the day. many players missed out on the fun. this event has rain forecast as isolated t-storms in the evening. most players avoid night games.

We played through OP Freedom in that Monsoon. If we can play through that. Some scattered showers is nothing.

First and foremost this is not combat. This is play. Second, I will come since I have yet to play when poop has not been in command. Third, kindness is how you talk to others. Not trying to show a loss of respect to others. Poop and Fallout did it well. Some others need a reminder sometimes. See you in the A.M.

Re: Operation: Blackout September 8th, 2012
Seriously? I was disappointed with the amount of time spent actually playing vs. taking a break or standing around waiting. I totalled it up and it came to 2 hours on the field, out of 8 hours of "play time" for me (10am-6pm). I dropped $60 on this to show my son some good all-day scenario airsoft. I feel really bad for the teams & players who came from as far away as TN and AL, bought hotels, etc. This was on-par with a $10 walk-on game with about half the trigger time.

Re: Operation: Blackout September 8th, 2012
Guys, we want to thank everyone who came out. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and really cost the game. A special thanks to those who stuck it out through the rain, we got several good rounds in after the second shower. In the end, I know we can all agree that it was far from what we'd hoped for, but there's nothing to do but live and learn. Again, to everyone who opted to leave early due to the rain, we do apologize! We're working with Gunner to set up a free to play (for Blackout attendees, others will be charged normally) event at Battlezone to kinda make up for the rain! We'll make sure details on that get spread out as they come.
On a side note, the attempt to do rounds with pauses works well on our Ft. Benning field, but because it's significantly smaller than Battlezone's almost 180 acres (if I recall correctly). It just took too much time to get everyone back and forth to and from camps and again, cost some playing time. Again, live and learn.
Lastly, we raised $165 for The Wounded Warrior Project. A big thanks again to Airsoft Barracks (check them out at airsoft-barracks.com) and Airsoft Junkiez (airsoftjunkiez.com)! I know we had several people with cameras, if anyone who got pictures please email them to us at oda105ga@gmail.com.
To clarify, Green team won the day, by 100 points. Tan lead for most of the day, but as people trickled out, we asked Team Blackwater to switch sides, and they really rallied the Green team.
To Dusty and Aleeia, you guys did a great job, hope to see you out there again!
