    Wire Goggles Empty Wire Goggles

    Post  XXX 05.01.09 23:17

I have read a lot of reviews and I really like them because they don't fog but... at Area-13 I know a lot of peeps are using bios. From what I have read wire goggles are unsafe with bios. I really don't want to wear safety goggles underneath.

So has anyone been playing with wire goggles and had a bio go through it? If not those will be my next purchase.

I was thinking about just goggles but I know I will be the unlucky one and get shot in the tooth.

I was thinking about the neoprene mask but then I realized my parents would never let me play with just goggles considering I have braces right now.

I got the front 2 teeth of mine shot out by an 8mm from a maurizin(SP?).

I really suggest neoprene, it has saved the rest of my teeth on very many occasions.

That stinks, see I would want to be on the safe side of things. Do you think Neoprene works that well?

Nobody answered me about bios though?

I have gotten point blanked in the mouth many times while wearing neoprene and only had 1 bb go through. Scared me to death because I thought I was chewing on my tooth, but I went to a sink and spit it out and it was just a BB!

    Yes, neoprene works very well.

I meant flakjaks. But thanks I did not know you could get them for 10 dollars. and then its 10 for neoprene. Sounds like a deal. What neoprene half mask do you use? I have heard a lot of complaints that when you where them it fogs you goggles.

    Do your flakjaks fog?

If it still fogs on me I am a computer geek and will steal a fan out of a computer from somewhere in my house and make a fan mod.

Mine do not fog, and everyone on my team takes out the top vents to make the heat rise and escape the goggles more easily.

I bought my neoprene as a snow mask from a Snowboard shop in Vancouver, not sure where you could get it here.

    It is called "The Masque"

Okay, does anyone one else on your team use a neoprene mask i found the one you have but I found some for 10 bucks shipped so I would like to only pay 20 for my mask set-up but it's not worth it if the ones i want make goggles fog.

Okay I guess I would like to try both then another plus to a shemag is that you get ear protection, the only negative it would get really really hot.

Uh ohh we made to two pages...

Most of my teammates leave it down until they get into a firefight, then bring it up to cover their mouths.

Shane I think we should move from being a US team to an opfor/terrorist team, we don't all have complete camo so it would work well. We just need the shemgah things.

I just found my dream goggles... http://www.st6-airsoft.com/flakjak_goggles.htm

Do you think it would work if I stole a lense from another pair of goggles then used wire cutters to make them fit in the arena flakjaks?

I forgot that our team ordered the last of the $5 ones from a company on Ebay. They where going out of business and wanted to get rid of them, so we ordered all of them.

$14 is not a bad price though. You can get them from ASGI for $25... so $15 is not that bad.
