G3's are amazing! They are a bit long, but the ROF on even a stock marui is great.

I really prefer longer guns over shorter ones, probably explains why my first gun was a SAW

Yeah, mine is falling apart, but it shoots like a dream. Then again, I put that thing through more than an airsoft gun should go through. the only real problem it has is the pistol grip, I need some locktight for that...
