So I am still a little unclear as to all of the benefits to putting a mosfet in a gun. Could someone explain what is active breaking in detail, please? Also I understand that having one also helps protect your battery, how is this done? Any other points that I am over looking that is beneficial to having a mosfet is appreciated.

Re: Couple of Mosfet Questions
Im not a mosfet expert but wih active breaking the motor stops as soon as you lay off the trigger and im pretty sure it replaces the trigger contacts on the wiring.

Re: Couple of Mosfet Questions
AB is Active braking, instead of letting the motor coast to a stop, it brakes it by reversing the polarity on the motor ( am pretty sure, rhino jump in anytime)
It keeps it from over spinning which can put tension on the spring, as well as taking the majority of the current off the contacts, NOT replacing them

It reverses until it feels resistance right?

Re: Couple of Mosfet Questions
Yes AB in a MOSFET is the active breaking that stops the motor through reverse polarity. In an airsoft gun it eliminates the carbon build up that is common on the trigger contacts from them continously touching creating the circut. They also amplify the electronic given off by the battery, which in turn increases the ROF a little bit also. So in summary they save your trigger contacts and also expand the life of your motor with increase preformance. There is absolutely nothing negative that I know about from installing a MOSFET.

Re: Couple of Mosfet Questions
saves trigger contacts from high amperage batteries, active braking is what russ and a few other said it is. in short the piston will be at the rest position after each shot, with high voltage batt. the motor continues to spin after the trigger is released causing the piston to be pulled back (half cocking). which causes the next shot to not have as much air volume in the cylinder causing less fps from the next shot, with out active braking it also leaves the spring compressed causing it to wear down. only negative part of a mosfet is having to install it
