Will a Vfc scar take mags not made by vfc? how is it's preformance out of the box? Is the Scar H or the Scar L be a better buy?

Re: Vfc Scar
Yeah, thats why I'm thinking scar L, plus it should take m4 mags, I don't know if the H does. so the L is probably the way I'm going

Re: Vfc Scar
My friend has the new version vfc scar and its a nice gun. The stock range with .2s was around 130-140 feet with the hop up properly adjusted. The external quality is superb compared to anything chinese clone. The stock doesn't expose and wires, has 6 positions and the gun also has the functional bolt catch which makes it have a very nice clack noise. The inner barrel goes all the way out to the flashhider with the barrel extension on. The barrel extension is really nice and looks much better than the dboys one. It has 14mm CCW threads to accomodate new flashhiders or silencers. My friend's scar came with a VFC birdcage flashhider that was black as well as the gun. The gun is full metal, meaning what is metal on the real steel is metal on the airsoft. It has a monolithic 20mm rail on top which will take any optic with the 20mm mount. The front sight is built into the gas block but is removable and the rear sight flips up and is squared off with rounded edges oppossed to where its just rounded at the top. It is adjustable for height and not sure about windage. It accepts all regular aeg m4 mags. The hicap it comes with is nice and I'm not sure of its capacity. The tan coloring of the scar is much more realistic than the clone versions which their upper receivers have more of a green tint to them. The gun also has 2 side rails and a bottom rail which is longer than the two side rails. It also has a thinner pistol grip to emulate the realthing. Internally I really don't know much about. The vfc motor isn't very fast but its better than a stock clone motor. The gun has a blade fuse opposed to the regular, run of the mill cylindrical one. Its wired to mini tamiya and the biggest battery I could fit in my friends was a FlightMax 1500 MaH 11.1 20c lipo. The stock isnt very wide inside so if you have a fatter battery you will have to modify the stock or get an external battery pouch. I know the gears are self shimming and the design isn't great but its better than gears that aren't shimmed at all or over shimmed. They do this self shimming by adding little springs on the axles of the gears. This is all I really know about the VFC Scar.I hope this all helps. And I know they're around $350
