Sniper Rifle Questions! Empty Sniper Rifle Questions!

    Post  Dastevenator 19.12.10 21:57

    Ello everyone!

I wanted to see everyone's professional opinions on these rifles. All of them have good reviews for beginner rifles, so was wanting to see which one I should get. Found out I could get these by themselves easily, then by a 50$ scope from a friend of mine for 10$ instead, so no need to find a good expensive rifle with a scope as well.

    Here are the rifles:

AGM MP-001 Sniper Airsoft Gun (Real Wood)

    AGM MP001B Spring Rifle (Black)

AGM L96 Style Spring Rifle (Black) [Probably end up getting this at AirsoftAtlanta]

Well MB06 SR-2 Sniper Rifle Airsoft Gun

Well MB07 Sniper Rifle Airsoft Gun

    JG BAR-10 Spring Rifle (Standard)

Also, I wanted to see if I was to get a good durable sniper rifle that isn't one of those 200+ guns like Tokyo Marui or Tanaka. what brand should I get? UTG, WELLs, Double Eagle(j/k), Jing Gong...? Let me know what you all think!

I own a JG BAR 10 its a pretty fun gun
its all stock and works very well
I think its better than the AGM guns on that list
Keep in mind that building a bolt action rifle is very expensive amd takes a lot of work
I didnt realize this till after i bought mine(thats why its still stock)

After owning 3 BAR 10s, I can vouch for them. They are good guns, easy to work on, and highly upgradeable.

Hmmm for me it came down between the AGM L96 and the JG BAR-10. One friend recommended the AGM (and I've seen it in action, against myself before) and you guys say the JG BAR-10... I'll have to consider which one to get. Thanks for your guy's help!

    my 2 cents
    build an aeg sniper
bolts are slow and you will never get an airsoft rifle with very good accuracy
you can get close but it is always the 2nd or 3rd shot that hits your target(unless you are close but this is a sniper we are talking about)
if you want + 200 foot range you do not want to cock and shoot cock and shoot
each time you pull back the bolt you loose your target and have to re-aim.
with an aeg its shoot move the barrel a little and shoot again and so on til you hit your target.very fast and very effective..
    again my 2 cents

I agree with what Poopdaddy said. If you really want to make you bolt action rifle outrange AEG's to the point where it's even remotely worth the reduced volume of fire, you're going to have to put WELL over $600 into the gun, possibly even a thousand.

However, of that list, I'd go with the BAR-10 or the L96.

Bar-10 although the quality of them has decreased since i got mine its still one of the best beginner rifles and is very upgradeable.

The thing is, this weapon I would be using is temporary. Only for the next few months, at the most till fall or something. Reason being: I don't have a lot of cash nor access to saving up cash, unless if I wait several months anyways. But starting after summer, I will be having a federal paycheck coming in every month, which is where I will commit to getting a pimped out SR-25 or some other high quality rifle with some big-time upgrades, accessories, etc.

That and me starting a team soon that is mainly sniper based encourages me getting a decent sniper rifle for a semi-beginner, aka me. Will allow me to also be able to let me and my team get a lot more experience and training over the next six months or so, as well as get to know some other teams and such.

Thanks a lot for your help guys! By the way just for future reference, what would you all recommend for a awesome model and brand of AEG sniper rifle?

A&K SR25 but internals are a little hard to come by. I would buy sniper2525's for 175 bucks.

    I've never heard of a vsr-11.
Gas sniper rifles are quite a different game when it comes to airsoft. First thing is your going to be dealing with inconsistencies. Mags are expensive. The guns are more difficult to work on. But that is a road that I really would like to go down. I've wanted to try gas sniper rifles for a while. It's exciting.
