I just got a combat machine and am generally pleased with it. Only thing is I would like to increase the ROF on it. I chronoed it and it shot at approximately 14 rps. I would like to bump it up to around 20 rps. Plan on getting a Matrix Magnum motor for it. What else would help it get to that range? Running a 9.6v battery.

When I changed over to 7.4LiPo it seemed like the ROF doubled. I am waiting for the 11.1 that I ordered. After that I will add a mosfet as suggested by Rhino. I think he said it have a crazy ROF which will be great for SW.

11.1v is a monster. i don't like using mine because of the sparking it does on the motor.
adding a mosfet and replacing those tamiya connectors on 9.6v will also increase ROF.

I was planning on switching to xt60s and adding a MOSFET eventually. Just wanting to get the ROF up until I do those upgrades.

Thanks for the recommendation on the motor Rhino. Played tonight and it averaged 20 rps through the chrono.
