Working for a large utility company I had the chance to go to Alabama to help with storm restorations of their electrical distribution systems.
While I can only describe in words the feeling of somberness, and the smell of dirt and death in athe air being blown around by the constant breeze due to the lack of any free standing structure to block it; This is some of what i saw....

Suggested EF4 Tornado, Aftermath of nieghborhood within Ground Zero of damage path.
A man and his wife survived the tornado huddling just on the other side of this wall. They were nearly sucked from the basement floor when debri began to pile ontop of them. The had to be dug out by neighbors, but survived with minor injuries.

Same Storm system that earlier destroyed rural areas of Pleasant Grove
Suggested EF3 Tornado, Aftermath of nieghborhood within Ground Zero of damage path.
Survivors said the tornado had come and gone within the longest 45 seconds of their life.
This was not intended to expose the misfortunes of the victims, but rather to forewarn the unexpected.
