Im new to airsoft and have been looking into an XM8 and was wondering if the TSD XM8 is any good. any reply would be appreciated

Welcome to the airsoft community. I personally wouldn't recommend a XM8 at all. 1337 had one and thats the only one I have seen owned by someone. When I held some at shops, the body didn't seem very durable. Its the same thing as a G36 but with a body kit over it. Therefore it will perform well but its shape and design seems very odd. I would recommend an m4, G36, or even a scar.

ive heard some good reviews and ive actually shot one like the one in the link, and i have to say, i like the feel and i am really not a big fan of the g36 or the m4 but im keeping my options open, as i still have to convince my parents that airsoft is safer than they make it out to be

If it like it then have at it, for your parents bring them out to a game so they can get the first hand experience.

there is the problem, i dont know anywhere where there is a field within about 10 to 20 minutes from powder springs

Is this one made by SRC or TSD?? The link say SRC and TSD. That's not the same company, right? SRC makes an XM8 too. I think Airdog can get the SRC XM8.

exactly, i have seen everyone with m4s and aks but not once have i seen an xm8 or even a magpul

there are several masadas on the field. Honestly that xm8 may look cool to you but the internals are not quality at all.

I had one, and let me tell you, the only nice thing about it was the scope. It was shipped to me broken, it was utter crap, it was entirely plastic, and it would break even more if you so much as looked at it.

They didnt honor my warranty when I called them about it. Said it must have been broken in the shipping process and as such was not their fault.

ive delt with the tsd xm8 not BE and have worked on many tsd/src guns.... still say they are bad. Most those reviews are from little kids reviewing it for their first gun btw. So for the most part reviews are not always correct. But heck what do i know..... just trying to help you not get a gun that will just cause you problems.

Why don't you get the gun and then do a comprehensive review on it for MAA? Initial responses and after 100 days what you think.
