Just got back from the field so i really dont have much energy to go into detail about the event, but we had a great time being on Tan team rolling with Jackwagon (I think thats right?) . Had the most fun rolling with our brothers at Team Highland because we always work pretty well together.
I personally didnt see too much of any action during the day, and when I finally did, OpFor rolled up on our six and wiped my fireteam out (-.-)
The rest of my guys and a few other teams said they saw plenty of action, so i guess i just missed out on a bunch of that.
I made up for that during the night game play with my boys and Schnoodle from Team Highland and Dusty rocking the FLIR unit. had some fun clearing up the road to the genarator. Very nice shootout at the generator AO as well. Our guys moved up so fast we had no idea they were pretty much right next to the Opfor who probably thought they were friendlies at first.
Speaking for Tan team, I think all did very well in terms of working together and communication. I can also say we did a very good job on crushing the enemies will to fight. Poop, great job on being our CO. Next time lets put that whiteboard to use, I think it'll help you out alot more. Glad to see you actually got to get a little action in yourself on day 2.
Gunner, nice field man. Huge field. Much bigger than I was expecting. pluses and minuses with. Larger field = much more playing area but ALOT more humping. I was able to get some sick video footage of Team Highland and one of my guys on top of the hill near overwatch, amazing camera shot.
Mentioned earlier i'd try to get a promotional video made for the field for ya, but I'm not entirely sure if i can do much with the video i grabbed. Didnt film much action given how far spread out the fights were. Filmed about 2.5 hours of footage in total, but maybe only about 10-15 minutes of it is usable for some action shots, and even those are a bit on the dull side. I do however have plenty of B-Roll
For the guys at Airdog, i want to recommend adding more medics and/or having alot more respawn points. From experience of running a huge field I can say that not many people like having to RTB to heal up or will respect the medic/healing rules like they should.
I really like the medic rules for SC vs GA were everyone was a medic. Adopted that to my field for most of our games and it works great. Keeps the fighting more intense and less humping back to base/respawn
I'll add that this was a milsim game and there was transportation available, so it wouldnt be to fair to ***** about that too much.
Overall though I say Airdog did a good job with the op. Admins did a great job from what i can gather running the game apart from destroying our natural night vision with those atvs lol.
Was expecting some higher numbers though so maybe we'll have to promote alot harder for the next op posted on this forum?
ps: I was looking forward to the sandbar though gunner, what was up with that being closed? lol
So, everyone else's thoughts?
