Thanks guys for coming out and posting up about the OP.
OP: VENOM was executed as planned and played very well on the huge Battlezone field.
We hope the players enjoyed the props and missions!
Congratulations to Poopdaddy and the Guerilla Forces for their victory at OP: VENOM.
The Guerilla Forces (GF) dominatated the event with using a lot of the good scenario tactics....
- Good radio communication between players and command
- Utilizing squads to complete missions
- Keeping as many players on the field as possible
- Excellent HQ Base defense (*note: GF HQ was actually attacked twice and defended by Poop and crew)
- Good use of the field map
Delta Forces (DF) stuggled to complete the first mission (establish forward respawn at Chimneys).
It seems communication was lost with the player(s) escorting the DF flag.
After several hours the forward respawn was established.
DF was able to win their pride back by completing the transport mission (DF HQ to Overwatch).
The DF team rally at the final battle was impressive.
The final push almost stopped the GF from detonating the nuke, but the GF were too well fortified.
Overall an awesome game!
As Rhino posted the pics are up and we should have some videos up on the AIRDOG Youtube page soon.
Please contact me (airdog@numail.org) if you have any pics that you would like to share on the AIRDOG website.
Stay tuned for details of the Toys for Tots event at Battlezone in Dec.

I want to add that one of the things I enjoyed the most about this game was the lack of perks. Granted I was on the winning team for this one, but I felt that overall the game play was pretty smooth and both sides had the same opportunities to take advantage, the tan team just had better communication and ordination. But for once there was no perks to try and level the playing field. That being said, since there were no perks, I also noticed that there wasnt as much drama, and I didnt have to many problems with people calling hits.
And the medic armband rule was awesome. Highly recommend to sticking with that for medics from now on.

I thoroughly enjoy going through brush without gloves and have my hands cut open by thorns for the sake of tying an armband in under 2 seconds
I recall Harris and I had a call of duty moment where we had to dodge the enemy searchlight scanning through the door village at night. Very tactical.

Here's the video. I only filmed for a little bit, most of the firefights were in the woods, those don't turn out well because the camera can't see through all of the brush. But I did find some footage that was usable and a couple of firefights in the open.
I like the captions on the video. xD When I first started watching it I was like, "That car looks a lot like my Dad's car" Then you show the other guys on it and i'm like, "Oh yeah, that is my dad's car. xD" ha.

Who owned the FLIR units? Were they on loan, or did they belong to Airdog or BZP? They made the night game a lot more fun.
And at the beginning of the video I think that was my teammate Evan showing off our ghetto NV setup, (eyeclops IR scope with 2 IR flashlights taped to it), for $40 it worked great haha.

A friend of ours owns the company that makes them so for all of our large events he lets us borrow some.

Grab your popcorn and sitback. This vids about 30 mins long. Would have been longer and alot more schnazzy had I actually gotten all the combat footage I wanted :/
I went for a a new approach with my teams videos and gave it a war documentary kinda feel. Hope you guys like it.

i normally have mainly action and not so much documentation of what goes on prior to the events we film. but there just wasnt enough combat footage.
we're going to buy a bunch of helmet cams, gun mounts, and all kinda stuff to give us ALOT more action. also gonna toss a camera guy on the other team next time.

First time trying scout sniper, but it worked out pretty well! Perfect job because all the bushes are hollow and you can see out of them!

Best Memory
I my best memory of OP Venom was on sunday and green is trying to keep tan from setting off the missile, probably the biggest single battle. I am with tan team trying to bring the missile parts up and we come under fire from a tree line. Drop parts and start advancing get hit go back to Overlook and respawn 100 feet away. On way back I am laying down suppression fire so a couple of guys could flank the tree line, when admin comes up and bums a cigar from me. I mean during the middle of a firefight we just walks out and says he his sorry but he ran out of smokes. So fireing with one hand reach into pocket and give him pack he hands it back starts walking away then I get shot right in the goggles. Good times...
