Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
yes its possible, but not recomended...
ive seen it done i a dmps crap gun that my brother bought a while ago
doing this will make it so that you have to recut and resolder the wire everytime you take apart your gun to fix the internal...
i would not recomend this
just buy some new wires ($15-20) or a connector...

Couldnt i just unsolder and resolder instead of cutting?

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
I've tried it. Worst mistake took me about an hour because I suck at soldering in confined areas haha. Even after that the wires burned out and I ended up just buying some wireing and motor connectors. I recommend just buying new motor connectors or make some. I have made 1 for temporay use but I don't see the problem in just keeping it. Tenchelly it's just the same as a motor connector, but even more durable. Also he is right if pisses any mechanic off. I personally would charge u a few bucks exspecally if I didn't have any motor connectors laying around hahah.

I don't speak for rhino but I think he usually solders his personal stuff. It may have just been his p90 because the motor and gearbox are together.
You don't have to be an expert to solder. There are plenty of self educating. Ideas on YouTube and once you get the iron hot and wires stripped it shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. The key is having the right size iron ( measured in watts ). The higher the watts the faster it transfers heat thru material it contacts. I use a 40 watt. May be to much but it works great. Soldering is the best connection you could possibly get on the motor contacts so ur not doing it any harm, and if it's temporary then even more so.

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
Haha yea it may be that I didnt have a hot enough solder, but I would personally prefer motor connectors for m4s just makes it easy for field stripping and just normally taking your gun apart. Yes I have had to field strip many times venom the main one.

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
it would suck to have to feild strip ur gun and it be soldered on the field...
i would never do that to my motor, i would probobly just end up screwing something up and havint to spend money, i would just save yourself some time and effort and put a couple bucks into it...
theres my two cents...

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
Yeah I've been soldering mine too.
I also changed out my wiring for longer ones so its easier to do.

Me trent and ryan for the most part all solder our wires on, we use the female connector until it breaks and then normally just cut and strip and solder, its not hard if your know what your doing.

both have there advantages. I dont ever work on my guns on the field so everything is soldiered! Soldiering gives the best connection.

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
Yeah usually not recommended to "field strip" airsoft guns as far as taking the motor out. You drop a screw in the grass it's gone forever.

Re: Is this possiable(motor wires)
I don't need luck I have skill haha Jk Jk the only reason why I field strip is because I don't have 2 guns so I have to fix it there. I will have one soon so maybe I won't need to field strip in the futur
