I don't want to be...idk how to say it...or what to call it but...I don't want to pay money to fund your team. I don't want to pay money for a game that funds ANY team. I want to pay the host of the game for the expenses to put the game on and I would only want my money going to them or some sort of charity that I agree with. I find it just...very strange that your team is being donated too....I know the Aggressor Platoon is self funded and we have thought about doing some airsoft event to help raise funds but we nixed it because we have a hard time coming up with a game in which we put something extra that only we could provide for airsofters that would be an acceptable tradeoff for the proceeds being donated to us, something that would draw a big crowd for the host so that in the end our involvement and percentage received from the game outweighs the loss of revenue from donating to us. We've never considered just asking for a handout. I rarely meet someone who is willing to do that...Its almost insulting to see someone leeching onto the host of a game and pulling funds out of them with no turnaround for them. I guess this sounds offensive towards you guys but...I seriously gotta say...does ANYONE on this forum want to fund another airsoft team while the rest of us pay for our airsofting out of our own pockets?

Who pays the bills to run ACZ Alex? And the insurance? This game is being run by AirDog. It says so in the description.

i see what you're saying and agree. i would see if it was for a charity or something but just for a local team? just so you can what... buy guns, gear, and attend more games? i don't exactly see why a team deserves a fundraiser.

same as running a car wash on someone's property... if they get the approval and do all the work, i don't see why they shouldn't get some funding. but if they aren't doing any work and getting something for nothing, that's a different story.

Not by us. You may want to clarify that so people don't think free services are given out by us since this thread is about us.

you wouldn't pay to play airsoft? LoL

you guys are over thinking this. how much do you pay to play? does it matter where the money goes? airdog approves of this, so why does it matter?

ZARTAN came to us and asked us to help him run a game, we have partaken in many airdog renovations and done alot for the company. so no one say we are mootching or anything like that. i really dont care who shows up, as far as im concerned its a regular ACZ game. with minimal proceeds going towards getting our teams uniforms together for the ones who cant quite get them. its your decision if you come or not, but lets not start a freakin argument over something as petty as this.

I am actually planning on coming to this game. But I don't want to fund your team. I truly do care where my money goes. If I have no choice but to pay another airsoft team to help run a game, after watching so many other teams, Dagger Unit included, help AirDog run games, do photoshoots, organize massive OPs, and ref for tournaments, without getting paid (none the less not even asking to get paid) then there is no way I am going. The entire community has been behind AirDog from day one, before yall even arrived. We have all put in our effort to help AirDog out because we genuinely love their services and consider them personal friends. I've never seen anyone expecting a cut of the profit for lending a helping hand to AirDog, and I find it troubling that its even on the table.

Sorry but this all make me laugh. I don't post much - but this thread has been entertaining. My .02= Telling people the game will benefit a certain team, not the brightest move. Just from reading these boards, and although I don't know them personally, Team Apex has a lukewarm following and if the team thinks differently- well that seems delusional.
Then comes the argument of wanting to know "where your money goes" - do you audit each and every business you patronize to follow the trail of money? I'm sure at some point in everyone's life they have purchased a good or service and subsequently their money has gone somewhere they didn't intend.
Cut though most of the chatter- and it seems more "personal" than the simple exercise of financial freedom.

In sum- Wolf Six- If you are helping run the game- but Airdog is the operator- You should have not said a word about a fundraiser and viewed the money Airdog "pays" you as wages--and then apply those "wages" to your team. No need to broadcast all intentions. I only feel by doing this you may have affected the turnout.

haters? I don't think a guy just posting saying "look I don't support you" qualifies as a hater. Honestly I don't like the idea either. You don't have uniforms? Play in jeans. Everyone else here did except maybe Twitch. I'd like to know the extent to your "pretty much" sponsorship. So do you advertise for them on a larger scale? Statewide? National?
You have to understand the last time that a team was declared "sponsored" by a field we had a airsoft fiasco. So this idea doesn't sit well with us who have been around a while.
No offense but getting uniforms for a team just doesn't seem like that worthy of a cause for quite a few of us. Whenever DU has been involved with OPs we've donated to actual charities like "Wounded Warrior Fund." Now if you've got a deal worked out with AD then great. You are correct we don't have to come, but also before coming off so flippant, don't more ticket sales mean more "donations" to your team uniform fun? So really you do care if people show up because then you get cash.

LoL, someone who doesn't support a certain team is a hater... if he didn't care, then he would not have posted openly how much he doesn't want to support a certain team. a non hater would just let it go (no post replies) and not even bother attending the game.

why is apex hated on? must be an ego trend against other teams.

thank you for your support alex, or Mr. marcelo whichever you prefer. we are not getting payed to play, we will be reffing and doing other game related tasks, and most of us have all of our gear, but with an expanding base of members who dont always have the money to equip there selves it helps. And yes we spread the airdog word, i go to all feilds around ga and talk up airdog, pass out buisness cards and refer players to the airdogshop.
