Shoot Out Sunday

Shootout Sunday at Paintball-Outfitters (http://www.paintball-outfitter.com/) Team game as well open to anyone else who wants to get in on some CQB action. We have the James Town field for the day. I'll bring the Jimmy Hoffa suitcase and if anyone else has any props they want to bring, that will work as well. If I remember correctly, Red had a Birthday recently and is due to go lonewolf for the start up game.

Sunday April 19th, 1:30-6:30pm at PO's. For any non-PWNY members who want to play that aren't sure how to get to the field you can get directions by going to the PO site and clicking on info and then location.

Can anyone show up and how much is the charge?

The last time I talked to the owner it was $15. You can double check by contacting Wendell at 706-882-8721. I'd rather folks find out for sure than have anyone make the drive and find out the price is different. The last thing I want to do is give disinformation out, especially to folks I play with on a regular basis.

We try as a team to play there at least once per month. There have been some changes to the James Town field for the better imo. Starting from the bottom half of the field no longer has that gaping bare spot from the church to the store. There is now plenty of cover to get into position against your foes. If you have never played on the field, it's not Area 13, and it's not the Vineyard (two fields I love to play on) but it has it's own bit of coolness. It's a great outdoor CQB field. The second story perches play a pivotal role as long as you can hold them.

We call it a team game, but anyone can jump in with us. We adapt pretty quick to the numbers that show up. The games go quick and get intense. We never have a problem with guys jumping out to ref games so that it goes pretty smoothly unless I have to start counting (inside joke)stuff.

The store staff has a Bday party at the field and we are also taking care of our AIRDOG booth at WWII Heritage Days in Peachtree City.

The weather for Sunday looks kind of iffy at best. I'm going out either way on the off chance it does one of those storm for 30 minutes then ceases for three to four hours which is all we need to get some CQB action in. If it ends up being one of those soaking three hour rains with lightning bolts coming down that could split a 200 year old oak in half.....we might need to bag it.

In the event we call it off. I gotta do a quick turn around on the makeup game. Monday afternoon (April 20th) at 3pm until we quit. For some of the older members on the team it will be like a retro game given we used to play from 5-9pm on Monday nights. There is no wiggle room for another make up day next weekend for obvious reasons. So we may lose some folks but we should gain a couple as well. This will no doubt end up being more of a team oriented game if we have to go Monday night but as always, the invite is out there for anyone else just the same. Strap on your bonnets boys, because either way the welts are going to be there, if not Sunday then Monday evening.
