Is it ok to play airsoft in the rain, if it is just sprinkling or light showers?

It's fine. Airsoft guns are pretty much waterproof. Although if you play in heavy rain, the BB's don't go very far.

Yeah it depends how much rain, if its really pouring its probably not the best idea, but just sprinkling you will be fine.

The rain depending on how heavy it is will mess up your shots but the games are usually more intense. Just a light drizzle should be fine.

If you don't play in the rain your wrong. All you will need to do is keep your barrel clean, keep on cleaning it out, your accuracy will get all jacked up because of the moisture , but other than that your fine.

You can actually fire your airsoft gun underwater, though I can't see it helping the life of your gun at all!

I have played in the pouring rain before. When we started it was drizzling a bit but when we got deeper into the woods it just opened up! It was fun, in a twisted sort of way, but I wouldn't do it again. Just like real-steel, you should tear down your gun afterward, dry, clean, and lube it. The little springs on most mags rust instantly! I had water in everything! I had to empty every mag and pouch and spread it all out in front of fans to get it dry! The cleanup was not my idea of fun.
The playing was kind of fun, but not worth the clean-up in my opinion. And the possibility of shortening the life of the gun isn't all that appealing to me either.
Not smart enough to come in out of the rain, but at least I was smart enough to bring a change of clothes for the ride home! I was soaked to the skin!

the rain wont hurt it at all, of course a heavy rain will effect the performance of the gun but once everything is dried it should shoot perfectly.
Airsoft guns use DC currents which for the most part are unaffected by water, so the only real problem that may pop up is a little rust for the metal parts that arent aluminum or painted. but you can easily prevent that by just drying your gun out after a game in the rain.
