so i have my school's JROTC color guard M1s. i figured i might as well keep a thread for the restoration of the rifles(i have 2) any constructive criticism is appreciated.
before the pictures, i want to clarify, these rifles are De-milled(unfortunately) and they belong to the McEachern NJROTC unit. i have been given permission to clean the rust off of the steel and paint the steel black.

can anyone provide a translation of this? we know it is greek and we believe that this rifle was used in the 90s as a training rifle for the Greek Army Evones(Presidential Guard) any help with this is appreciated, because we are still working on it
We looked up the serial #s and they both date back to the 1940s
more pictures to come!
