May 19th SB798 was referred back to Committee. Of the votes that have taken place, these are your AYES:
Alquist, Calderon, Corbett, De León, DeSaulnier, Evans, Hancock, Hernandez, Kehoe, Leno, Lieu, Liu, Lowenthal, Padilla, Pavley, Price, Simitian, Steinberg, Vargas, Wolk, and Yee.


These are the NOES (the good guys ):
Anderson, Berryhill, Blakeslee, Cannella, Correa, Dutton, Emmerson, Fuller, Gaines, Harman, Huff, La Malfa, Runner, Strickland, Walters, and Wyland.


And these are the ones that won't take a position - these are the ones that need to get off their butts and VOTE!!!:
Negrete, McLeod, Rubio, and Wright.


As the voting stands, 21 to 16 the vote will pass. If these folks will vote NO, it would be 21 to 20. However, SB798 only requires a majority vote, it does NOT require a 2/3 vote.

If it only needs a majority, than won't getting the 21-20 still result in SB798 passing? If so, haven't airsofters in California already lost?

The vote that airsoftcorps said was with the Committee of CA, if it passes there it then goes to the CA Assembly and if it is passed there it then moves to the governers desk and if signed will be put into law for the State.

We have had a little bad luck this week, the least of which was having to cancel OK Invasion's live show. The logistics for that show did not pan out, and if you were standing by to hear the show, we are very sorry.

More than that, The world record shot did not take place as scheduled. Our friends, Bushman and his spotter Frank M24, were struck by a semi truck on their way to Invasion around 12am Thursday morning on Interstate 40. They are alive, but seriously injured. Bushman is in surgery as I am posting this message. He had seven vertebrae broken in his neck. Frank has been released and is resting at home, having had surgery on Friday to repair his hand, arm, and shattered shoulder. The truck that struck them did not stop.

Needless to say, the world record shot has not yet taken place. It will be rescheduled, as Bushman is already chomping at the bit to make it happen. We will talk about OKI6 on this week's show, and provide an update to Bushman and Frank's condition.

Hit and run? Sorry to hear that, I hope they have a speedy recovery, Bushman especially as he has the vertebral injury. Hopefully the guy will get caught.

Yea, you'd think the truck driver's company would see the damages on the semi and be suspicious.

Frank has been home for a few days and is getting better rest now. Bushman is going home today....finally...I know he is glad. Thanks to all for the prayers and support...continue to lift them up in prayer - prayer works!

I took Frank for a visit so he could see Bushman in the hospital. It took me a few minutes to get myself together enough to take a picture with my phone...it was quite emotional. Grapeshot, from our local team, aptly named the photo, You Can't Keep Good Men Down.

Glad their recovering well and in good spirits. Any news on the bill passing?

Bill just failed today...5 to 2. Everbodys good to go til next Jan when they can bring it up again.

Wow, im actually suprised. I guess theres a huge support for toy guns in CA opposed to their strict real gun laws.

Actually it is up for reconsideration as early as July 5th
